When considering the type of job you want, be sure to factor in your financial requirements, how many hours you want to work (be it full-time work or part-time), your child care accommodations, and whether you need health insurance or other benefits. For moms and dads, there are definite perks to working from home, in that you have better flexibility to care for your family. But this flexibility can also come at a cost — make sure you understand the pluses as well as the minuses. A few of the standouts are as follows:
Because lawyers are seeking people who match the profile of potential real-life jurors, online jury companies ask detailed questions of applicants. You should never disclose your Social Security number or credit card or banking info. Companies typically pay $10 to $60 to online jurors. Since most online jury companies won’t need a lot of jurors, signing up for multiple companies gives you a better chance of getting picked for “jury duty.”
If you are looking for online jobs paying through a bank account, this is a good list to get you started. It isn’t all-encompassing. There will be other great gigs out there. FlexJobs is my go-to job board as they screen all their leads for legitimacy so you can apply with confidence. Memberships start at just $14.95 per month. Use code WAHWIFE for a discount.
It's not necessary to have a past career as a teacher to become an online tutor, although it can certainly help. If you are well-versed in a particular subject, you can become a tutor in that subject for students who need help with their school work. There are sites like Tutor.com and Chegg that match tutors with students who need their help. You will only need to have a computer and a solid internet connection — and potentially a video conferencing program, as many students prefer to meet with you via video call. Generally, you can choose your own hours, which makes this an ideal job for stay-at-home parents.

Indeed is one of my favorite job boards to use when searching for work at home jobs and here’s why. Indeed is an aggregated job board, which means their platforms pulls job listings from all the other major job board sites. This means you save tons of time because you don’t have to search each job site individually. While the jobs are not screened, Indeed requires that all listings contain a company name, location, job title, and complete job description. Job seekers are also able to view the entire job description, and there’s never a fee to apply. But a word of caution — you need to do your due diligence and research each company before applying so that you know that they're legit.
If working for yourself sounds like a major pain, don’t worry. There are still plenty of real work-from-home jobs in which you can work for an established company. These are more traditional jobs where a company hires you and pays an hourly wage. Typically, these jobs involve addressing customer questions and calls which are directed virtually to your own phone.
From my own experience, I’ve used Textbroker to make quick cash for bills. They pay every week on Fridays and if you work a lot every day, you can usually have a substantial amount accumulated by the end of the week — definitely more than the $10 cash out threshold. The only bad thing there is you never know how much work they’ll have up to grab from the order board. But I would say that for me Textbroker has been an excellent source for getting bill money together when I need it quick. Amazon Mturk is another idea. You can cash out there at just $1 and it transfers to your bank account. There is an entire sub-forum about Mturk over at the Work Place Like Home forum where people discuss the best tasks to accept to make the most money. Mturk has a reputation for being just an extra money option, but I know for a fact there are some people making more than just extra money over there.
I forgot to also share that I will be starting work with On Point as an Advocacy Coordinator too. It sounds like a great job that helps our fellow Americans keep informed about political issues. On Point is the voice of the average citizens that may have an opinion to share with their politicians but have no way of knowing how to contact them. On Point makes sure those voices get heard. In orientation the trainer said she will be hiring agents again around the middle of June. If you have good writing skills and are a good conversationalist then you may want to check it out. It also seems like if you put forth a little effort, you can make decent wages with them and they do pay weekly. I’m not big into politics but excited about this new venture.

I also recommend FlexJobs for finding more home data entry jobs. With that site, you can regularly search legitimate work at home jobs for data entry and other industries. Every job lead is guaranteed scam-free, and it's the only membership-based jobs site I currently use and trust. Their listings are updated 5-6 times per week, and they are plentiful. You can currently get 30% off a subscription using promo code AFFILPROMO.
I've been using social media for this blog for about five years now, and I'm completely self-taught. I've made my own graphics, I create my own updates, I've familiarized myself with various social media schedulers like Buffer and Hootsuite, and I do all the moderation. I even taught myself how to run advertising campaigns on social media. And I think I could show a potential employer I have plenty of experience by providing them with links to the social media accounts I manage for this blog every day.
Depending upon the requirements of each position, background checks may also be imposed by employers, to ensure remote operators maintain high standards on the job. If your record is clean and past employment includes customer service work, it is easily translated to household income – regardless of your location. As a home-based representatives you can expect to take reservations, place orders, resolve complaints and even make marketing calls.

Legit prospects have nothing to hide, so jobs worth landing are straightforward business transactions, requiring you to complete tasks or provide deliverables, in exchange for payment. It is important to remember upstanding organizations outsource jobs to save money and fulfill needs, so legitimate relationships are a two-way street, benefitting workers and the companies needing talent. When you see job posts promising ridiculously high pay rates and “opportunities” requiring an initial cash investment, they are probably scams. Still other work from home options are above board, but pay very little. Amazon's “Mechanical Turks”, for instance, fulfill rudimentary tasks for pennies each, relying on volume to grow income. Even so, participants commonly make far less than minimum wage.
So create Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts for your blog or business, or offer to do it for someone else you know (for free) just so you can learn how. And it might even be worth taking on one of those internships I mentioned above just for the experience. Most of the internships are for small businesses just getting started, and sometimes turn into paying positions if you perform well as an intern.

This is a job with much potential, in part because the title description covers many things. “You can fit your offerings to what you know how to do,” says Stephanie Foster, a former medical transcriptionist who runs the website HomeWithTheKids.com. One can own a virtual assistant business or work from home for a company that makes you available to other employers or clients. HomeWithTheKids.com, for example, currently features several such companies.
As you know, there are many different social media platforms and while some social media managers are generalists and offer services for all the platforms, it’s easier and more lucrative to choose a specialty. Figuring out what niche you want to focus on can be a challenge, but if you mind-map your passions, interests, experience, and knowledge you can narrow it down relatively easy.
Virtual assistants, commonly referred to as VAs, come in all shapes and sizes. Many companies will hire VAs if they are looking for help with online administrative tasks (email, calendar management, data entry, etc), but don’t necessarily want to hire a full time employee just yet. They’re the perfect work from home job for busy people that may need to drop their work at a moments notice, or have very sporadic availability.

Like most work-at-home jobs, the amount of money you make depends on your experience level and any specialties you may have. According to Salary.com, annual salaries for technical support representatives range from roughly $29,600 to $43,300 with a median salary of $34,400 a year. That breaks down to about $16.50 an hour, but again this figure varies widely.
Bloggers are typically people who enjoy a particular topic and enjoy writing about it on a semi-regular to regular basis. If you have something you are passionate about, or are an expert in a particular area, you can consider starting a blog. Blogs are a great way to: teach people about a particular skill, entertain, or share about life experiences.

Professional translators are in-demand, as global business operations expand across diverse languages. And though there are automated options available, machine translation lags behind the quality level put forth by professional translators. Apps and programs help speed up the process for amateurs and professionals alike, including cutting edge translation tools that actually use memories of successful translation to expand understanding, leading to the most accurate interpretations possible. Forums and marketplaces connect clients with translators and interpreters working from home, enabling a bonafide revenue stream for committed, multilingual self-starters.
According to Mom Corps, 75% of working adults agree that flexibility for work-life balance is one of the most important factors they consider when deciding where to work. The trend toward remote working is continuing to amplify as technology allows for better accessibility, and top companies are evolving to meet these demands in order to stay competitive.
•The website has no contact information. A legitimate business has a way for you to reach them. Look for an "About" page that offers information on the company or CEO, along with a phone number, address, or contact email. (Try calling the number to see if anyone answers.) A website with only a contact form and no other way to get in touch with an actual human is suspicious.
A transcriptionist listens to audio files and types up what they hear. This is an excellent work-from-home option for anyone with good keyboarding skills and great hearing — since sometimes the audio files are not the best quality and you will have to listen closely (or rewind several times) to accurately transcribe the message. As with mystery shopping, you do need to be careful of transcription scams, which will often ask you to pay for an expensive transcription certification course. You can find legitimate transcription work online at sites like FlexJobs.com.
Among the top freelance marketplaces is Moonlighting, a commission free platform that has been growing in popularity with freelancers tired of paying to bid and compete for clients. Home-based work can be broken down into two separate categories: jobs where you work for yourself (and have unlimited income potential) and jobs in which you work for somebody else (with an income ceiling). Neither type necessarily requires you to work full-time. However, these are all online jobs – which means you’ll need a high-speed internet connection in order to work from home.

I’m creating a sales funnel that will lead people to buy my pest control services. I need all my online content to be written persuasively to lead people to take action. I need flyers. Post cards. Email marketing. Online ppc ads. My website. Click funnels. Social media. Scripts for my sales people. I’ve been in sales for 10 years and read plenty of sales books so only quality work please. Perfect English and written grammar. If you are good I’ll probably be running all of my written material past you. Thanks This job was posted from a mobile device, so please pardon any typos or any missing details.
From caterers to bands to florists, saying “I do” is big business. And now there’s a new niche in the $58 billion wedding industry that could score you a little dough. Bridesmaid for Hire provides professional services for brides. While some of the tasks involve helping out on the big day (or even standing with the wedding party as an actual bridesmaid), many responsibilities are handled remotely via emails and social media.
What It Pays: Though it's completely subjective to the company, you'll likely be paid per post or hourly. Factors that could increase or decrease the pay scale include word count, research, interviewing an expert, and more. Many freelancers are full-time, but if you're looking for a side-hustle to make some weekend money, this is a great option too. According to Pay Scale, the average salary for a freelance writer is about $24/hr.
With that said, bloggers can expect to make a few hundred dollars a month up to tens of thousands. A blogger’s salary completely depends on their niche, their audience, and how skilled they are at promoting either their own products or somebody else’s. For example, while she is certainly at the top of the heap, our good friend Michelle makes about $50,000 a month from blog revenue alone.
For example, if you type in “banana bread recipe,” search engines should pull up recipes from major sites first. Posts from smaller blogs or recipes for other, related dishes—like zucchini bread—should fall toward the end of the list. As a search engine evaluator, you’ll be asked to enter specific words or phrases into a search engine, then assess how appropriate and informative the sites it pulls up are.

Until you've asked, don't exclude this option. You may be able to take your current job home by writing and submitting a telecommuting proposal. Start by checking your company's telecommuting policy, do your research, and write up a flex time or work at home plan. Make sure your proposal includes all of the benefits to the company – including the cost to recruit and hire a new employee to replace you if you decide to quit.
This particular work-at-home opportunity takes a little more work experience in general than the other four on this list, but it pays better too. Search engine evaluators examine Internet search results and give feedback as to whether they are accurate, relevant, and spam-free. To do this, the evaluator must be knowledgeable about current culture and the Internet, with good communication skills. Sometimes a college degree is required or preferred, but direct experience as a search evaluator is usually not.
