I've been using social media for this blog for about five years now, and I'm completely self-taught. I've made my own graphics, I create my own updates, I've familiarized myself with various social media schedulers like Buffer and Hootsuite, and I do all the moderation. I even taught myself how to run advertising campaigns on social media. And I think I could show a potential employer I have plenty of experience by providing them with links to the social media accounts I manage for this blog every day.
In this increasingly digital world, there has never been a better time to work from home. At-home jobs are the perfect opportunities for those struggling to secure a local gig, need to stay home for health reasons, have to care for a loved one, or simply don't relish the thought of dealing with a hectic commute every day. FlexJobs reported in their The State of Remote Jobs survey that, as of 2017, 43% of U.S. workers now work remotely — even if it's just a part-time side hustle to supplement their income. For remote jobs, you'll need a computer, some basic skills, and a can-do attitude. Click through this list of remote employment areas that are booming right now, plus find even more ways to make money from home.

From my own experience, I’ve used Textbroker to make quick cash for bills. They pay every week on Fridays and if you work a lot every day, you can usually have a substantial amount accumulated by the end of the week — definitely more than the $10 cash out threshold. The only bad thing there is you never know how much work they’ll have up to grab from the order board. But I would say that for me Textbroker has been an excellent source for getting bill money together when I need it quick. Amazon Mturk is another idea. You can cash out there at just $1 and it transfers to your bank account. There is an entire sub-forum about Mturk over at the Work Place Like Home forum where people discuss the best tasks to accept to make the most money. Mturk has a reputation for being just an extra money option, but I know for a fact there are some people making more than just extra money over there.
#7 – Craigslist – Definitely not my first choice due to all the scams, but it's certainly possible to find remote social media jobs posted here that are legitimate. I use Adhuntr to search all of Craigslist and use “social media” along with “remote” “work from home” or “work remotely” as keywords. Just be careful when searching, don't apply for anything that sounds too good to be true, and use these tips as well to ensure you avoid the scams.
Home-based work can be broken down into two separate categories: jobs where you work for yourself (and have unlimited income potential) and jobs in which you work for somebody else (with an income ceiling). Neither type necessarily requires you to work full-time. However, these are all online jobs – which means you’ll need a high-speed internet connection in order to work from home.

Tutors find success working at all scholastic levels, teaching general skills and helping students master isolated subjects. In some cases, tutors help students reach a minimum standard, while other efforts strive toward scholarship-level academic excellence. In fact, some students only need specialized assistance when preparing for college entrance exams or foreign language tests.

Although there are thousands of legitimate work-at-home jobs available, it’s always a good idea to proceed with caution. There are plenty of less than stellar opportunities out there, promising big results with little or no return. While some of these are just bad gigs, others are straight up scams, looking to prey on dreams of those looking for a real work-at-home jobs.

While most of these companies advertise that you can earn upwards of $18 or so an hour, the reality is that you're not going to make that much once you figure in your gas expenses and wear and tear on your car. Also, work may not always come in consistently. I would recommend doing more than one of these if you really want to make it worth your while.

I know, this list isn't very long, but there REALLY are a lot of social media jobs available. Most companies that need social media managers only have one or two positions to fill. Generally, these positions are posted on their own website, and the company will utilize an online job board. So if you're not finding what you're searching for in this list — check out the avenues below for more social media jobs.

Not looking for specific hours, just someone who is able to be flexible for the next few months - looking at 10-25 hours a week. A well rounded organized person is a must. Tasks would include order inputs, vendor communication, helping keep campaigns organized, assisting with any chargebacks, and when needed, help with customer support. Length of time could be a few months or a few years if it's the right fit. The store is in the patriotic America niche. This is more of a virtual assistant role than a customer service role but it would be very helpful to have a "utility" person.
Virtual assistants, commonly referred to as VAs, come in all shapes and sizes. Many companies will hire VAs if they are looking for help with online administrative tasks (email, calendar management, data entry, etc), but don’t necessarily want to hire a full time employee just yet. They’re the perfect work from home job for busy people that may need to drop their work at a moments notice, or have very sporadic availability.
Transcribing medical dictation is another keyboard enterprise commonly launched by independent contractors. Listening and deciphering sometimes difficult, technical material, medical transcriptionists require little more than a personal office to conduct business. The role has been essential for years, so some work at home scams target the familiar home-based opportunity. Prospective employers requiring you to buy software or pay for training may not be legit. Above board virtual transcription resources are available online, linking providers with vetted clients in need of services.

Definitely launching your own business is the way to go. You have total freedom and control over what you do. It will take some time to start up, though seeing as though you are already in the industry you will have lots of contacts, get them on board your new business and away you go. Your babies come first, until you have a baby, you don’t realise that bond you have, you don’t realise how strong those motherly instincts are! You may start off thinking, you can go back to work full time, though when those beautiful little babies come into your life you realise that you just can’t bare to leave them! Good luck! You will definitely be glad you made the decision.

It may sound less glamorous than some of the aforementioned job opportunities, but it’s such an important and impactful role. If you’re already the primary caregiver to children, this type of role may or may not be the right fit, as constant caregiving can be a major drain (just ask a stay-at-home mom or stay-at-home dad). That said, this line of work, which could either be a full- or part-time job, comes with plenty of job security — there will always be elderly people who need caring for, and someone to brighten their day. Look to in-home senior care if you want to have the relative flexibility of a stay at home job while also making a difference.

Fay — I have a few posts up that list ways to get fast cash, but if you’re looking for bill money, those might not help much because the things I listed there are mostly good for gas money, pizza money, etc. Just a little extra. I know that with the phone positions there’s often a few weeks or more worth of wait time while you’re getting a background check done, training, and so forth. The sales positions (things like Helios, which has actually received negative feedback lately from some of my readers) could probably have you up and working and making money quickly. I do have a post on this blog covering Helios. But not everyone likes sales, so that may not be the route you’d want to take.
