#7 – Craigslist – Definitely not my first choice due to all the scams, but it's certainly possible to find remote social media jobs posted here that are legitimate. I use Adhuntr to search all of Craigslist and use “social media” along with “remote” “work from home” or “work remotely” as keywords. Just be careful when searching, don't apply for anything that sounds too good to be true, and use these tips as well to ensure you avoid the scams.
Bloggers are typically people who enjoy a particular topic and enjoy writing about it on a semi-regular to regular basis. If you have something you are passionate about, or are an expert in a particular area, you can consider starting a blog. Blogs are a great way to: teach people about a particular skill, entertain, or share about life experiences.
What It Is: Transcription essentially involves you listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. Easy enough, right? Companies usually hire transcriptionists without much experience, so some job postings might only require you to have a computer and keyboard to get started. Transcription jobs can vary from transcribing a college lecture to a doctor's medical dictation, while most companies allow you to make your own schedule.

I have a background in education (worked for local school for about 10yrs) as well as safety (security officer for about 6yrs and took on safety position as an additive about a year and a half ago.). In increasingly visual, mobile, digital markets, producing engaging content goes beyond text. As a result, video jobs, employment developing infographics and side work creating other specialized content have emerged as realistic stay at home opportunities. In addition to production and design staff, various media outlets rely on independent contractors to manage large-scale marketing efforts and social media campaigns. Bracing for challenges and knowing the value of your work are keys to success, in a field where networking and a diverse skill set help keep work flowing through your home business.
Don’t teach for someone else’s company- create your OWN courses and promote them to your own audience (if you have a website or a blog). We use teachable.com to host our online courses. I create the course, put it on that site, and then students pay money to access the material. No need to apply to anything, but it does take a different kind of work!
Great response to what I’m sure is a common problem Holly. I also see #jobfairy on Twitter if that is any help. I’m not a Mum but when I was faced with it I set myself up working from home. Writing a blog started me off as I was able to advertise my services on that and via Social Media then. Within a couple of months work started coming in and a year later I was full up – and still am. Good luck Rebecca with whatever you decide to do

#6 – Social Media Jobs – This is a private Facebook group with over 20,000 members, and social media jobs are posted here quite regularly. Again, not all will be remote, but because it's a Facebook group and comments/chatting are encouraged, you can always just ask the person who posted the job within the group whether the job they shared is remote.
Provide Service – Selling online is not a passive undertaking. On the contrary, holding yourself out as a seller creates customer service expectations. Fortunately, online auction sites provide various tools, enabling sellers to communicate and conduct transactions with buyers. Still, it is up to you to create and reinforce a positive image, so customers leave favorable feedback and make repeat purchases. The more time you devote, crafting understandable, visually descriptive postings, the higher auction bids you'll attract. And when issues do arise, handling them swiftly and satisfactorily reinforces public relations for your online “brand”.

Does anyone else here resent being asked about work-life balance? The context is that I'm a leader and one of the few women leaders in my company. I'm always being sent to panels and talking about this topic and I feel like my male colleagues never get this question. Any thoughts on how to address this? I feel like its perpetuating gender stereotypes but on the other hand, I get that the reason people ask this is they want to really know.

Unfortunately, opportunistic criminals have devised scams targeting people working from home. Failure to pay and other forms of fraud are commonplace, so it is important to vet potential clients or contract employers before engaging. Due diligence includes a look at the companies or individuals offering work, as well as thorough understanding of the jobs at hand and expected compensation. If you do not feel comfortable with a particular arrangement, follow your instincts and move along to the next opportunity. In time, you'll learn to source and recognize legitimate jobs, so you don't waste time on dead-ends.

If you are a writer looking for another profitable, creative outlet, photography can expand your income potential. In addition to offering your services to others, pairing your photographic skills with solid writing is all that's needed to maintain a productive, profitable blog. Visually tempting food sites, for example, are prolific reminders of how easy it is to pick up a camera for highly satisfying results.

Sound up your aisle? Fill out an application through the site, which pairs brides and bridesmaids based on personality and location. You could make between $200 and  $2,000 per month, says Glantz, working anywhere from a few hours a month to a couple of hours a week, and you'll generally handle everything on nights and weekends. Most projects—er, weddings—require between 3 to 11 months of your time.

Because the fee is so small but the task takes so little time, the strategy is to do as many of them as possible. However, be sure to read the fine print because many of these companies have a minimum payout, meaning that if you earn $8.55 doing 20 micro jobs, you may have to wait until you’ve earned as much as $50 to actually get your money. Read more about some of the pitfalls of this kind of work.
